Rallying and Engineering Foundations: Guenther began his career in rallying, achieving championship success with Mazda before senior technical roles at Prodrive and Ford M-Sport, leading teams to European titles and working with World Champions including Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz.
Business Leadership: In 2002, Guenther transitioned to F1 as Managing Director of Jaguar Racing, where he restructured the organisation and delivered a podium finish at the Italian Grand Prix. He later returned to F1 with Red Bull Racing and went on to establish Red Bull’s NASCAR programme in the United States, expanding his leadership experience across global motorsport operations.
Team Principal, Haas F1 Team: Handpicked by owner, Gene Haas, Guenther formed the Haas F1 Team from the ground up, leading its entry into Formula 1 in 2016. The team delivered the most successful debut by a new constructor this century, later securing its first Formula 1 pole position in 2022 and establishing itself as one of the sport’s leading independent teams.
MotoGP Leadership: In 2025, Guenther expanded his motorsport leadership into two wheels by leading a consortium to acquire the Red Bull KTM Tech3 MotoGP team, one of the paddock’s longest-standing outfits. He will assume the role of CEO from 2026 and build on Tech3’s legacy while driving growth and competitive performance in the world championship.
