Harvards Summer Venture in Management programme increases diversity and opportunity in business education
Mercedes Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff recently returned to Harvard University to lecture for a residential educational programme.
The Summer Venture in Management (SVMP) is a competitive week-long residential. It is a programme designed to increase diversity and opportunity in business education, with underrepresented students being fully immersed in the Harvard Business School experience. This involves having the opportunity to live in halls of residence, engage in dynamic case study classes, and gain experience from world-class experts.
As one of the programme’s surprise guests, Wolff delivered business lectures using his extensive knowledge of management and team effectiveness gained from heading the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team.
This is only the latest in Wolff’s educational endeavours. Recently named an Executive Fellow of the Harvard Business School, he will be lending his expertise to first- and second-year Master of Business Administration students from January 2024.
The Executive Fellows programme leverages the expertise and experience of distinguished business professionals and seeks to form a community that collectively contributes to the Harvard Business School through various activities. By uniting faculty and MBA students in curricular and co-curricular projects, including collaborative lectures between guest speakers and faculty members, teaching and learning are enhanced.
Working alongside Professor Anita Elberse, Wolff will deliver a ground-breaking MBA course in which he will share insights on high-performance leadership, organisational culture, and personal effectiveness.
