Dr. Tommy Wood is a neuroscientist and professor at the University of Washington, whose research focuses on brain health across the lifespan - from therapies for brain injury to the factors that shape long-term cognitive function and decline in both elite athletes and the general population.
Since 2016, Tommy has also served as a scientific advisor to Hintsa Performance and performance consultant in Formula 1, working with drivers and teams on strategies for sleep, nutrition, and cognitive performance. He holds degrees in biochemistry (University of Cambridge), medicine (University of Oxford), and a PhD in physiology and neuroscience (University of Oslo). In addition, he is Director and Treasurer of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and Head of Research at the dementia prevention charity Food for the Brain.
