Head of Alpine F1 Academy, Qatar Airways Ambassador & Former Formula 1 Development Driver for Lotus, Carmen Jorda brings first-hand experience from the highest levels of global motorsport. Her career spans karting, junior formula, endurance racing and Formula 1, alongside a long-standing commitment to developing and championing future female talent within the sport.

Pathway to Formula 1: Carmen began karting at the age of 10 before progressing through Spanish and European Formula 3, where she became the first woman to achieve class podium finishes in the Spanish F3 Championship. Her racing career also includes GP3, the Le Mans Series (LMP2) and Indy Lights in the United States. In 2015, she joined the Lotus Formula 1 Team as a development driver, working extensively in the simulator - a critical element of modern F1 performance - and collaborating closely with engineers and race drivers including Pastor Maldonado, Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer, continuing through the team’s transition to Renault.
F1 Academy Leadership at Alpine: Carmen has since returned to Formula 1 in a senior position with Alpine, supporting the team’s F1 Academy programme and wider initiatives focused on developing and promoting female talent across the sport.
Advocacy and Profile: A former member of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, Carmen is a visible role model for the global female F1 fanbase. Alongside her motorsport work, she has built a strong media presence and acts as a brand ambassador and model for luxury fashion, jewellery and automotive brands.
